Katie picked up her first pair of drumsticks 19 years ago and hasn't dropped them yet! A 2005 graduate of Roosevelt School of the Arts in Fresno, CA, Katie's musical career has allowed her to travel the world. Her most memorable moments range from performing at Carnegie Hall, sailing around the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean sea with the Carnival Paradise, playing musicals in local productions, National and International Broadway tours, marching in the Rose Parade, and touring the United Kingdom. She has been involved with numerous bands that have allowed her to expand her tastes and master her skills in different styles of music including Jazz, Latin, Funk, Pop and Spanish Rock.
As a young professional, she found herself fortunate to have the opportunity to perform with many orchestras, chamber ensembles, and brass bands, which helped her become well versed in drum set, concert percussion, latin percussion and steel drums.
Not only does Katie love to play, but she also loves to share music with the future generation of musicians. Katie has been teaching drums and percussion for over 10 years and is experienced in teaching private and group lessons.
Her past National/International touring credits include: Bring it On: The Musical, Guys and Dolls, The Producers and Annie.
Katie is currently touring as Percussionist with Hamilton An American Musical Philip Company
